How it all started

A couple years ago, God performed a miracle and blessed me with a piece of land that I could have never obtained on my own. Let me tell you, the price of everything was outrageous. From interest rates, to supply and demand, how much money you need to qualify for a loan and everything else in the world you need to do just to buy some land in 2022. I thought it was going to be forever before we could buy something, let alone find something that we wanted to build our dreams on that was SANE and affordable. Years of endless searching, dealing with all the curve balls life throws at you, I was ready to settle for almost anything. Then we found something, a ugly ran down house that needed so much work, I could almost touch my neighbor's door coming out the front door, but Hey, it was on 5 acres, 5 "Fenced acres" so I was ready to make an offer. I knew this wasn't what I really wanted deep down. The desire of my heart was a big enough piece of land to build our home, have neighbors (wayyy down the road) and a barn. That dream seemed so unreachable that I was ready to settle for something I barley wanted, something was better than nothing. Despite how I felt, I have the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and I know to acknowledge the Lord in all my ways and he will direct my path and make it straight and I know I want his will done over my life no matter what. So, I told God, "Lord if it's your will, let it be done. If it's not, please don't let it happen." and we submitted the offer. Days go by and I just can't stop thinking that If I wait on the Lord, He will give me more than I can contain. I know God is faithful and I know He promises to grant us the desires of our hearts according to the abounding riches in Christ Jesus. I know His plans for me are for good. I kept reminding myself and reminding myself that all throughout the scriptures and all throughout my life, God IS faithful. I made the choice to believe He had something better for me and that He wanted to give me more than I could even think to ask Him for. I'm so grateful I chose to submit all my plans to Him and acknowledge Him above all, otherwise; I wouldn't be writing to you right now. Fast-forward, they denied the offer, I was relieved after much prayer and thought. Then, not even a week later, the miracle unfolded. .
I'm so overjoyed to tell you that God did indeed bless me with more than I could ever ask or imagine. He gave me over 41 acres of fenced in property, on the top of a beautiful mountain. Did I mention the fact that the ENTIRE property is FLAT, filled with trees, green grass, a barn, sectioned off pastures, an arena, a well, a home and 360 views of the mountain ranges and all the special scenery standing in one place on the property.
I was actually willing pay $300,000 with a 7% interest rate for what I didn't even want because I was becoming impatient. Bare land alone is going for $10,000 AN ACRE. But God can do anything for His children and all things become possible when we listen to His voice.
What God had for us came with a half price tag of $170,000 locked in 3% interest rate. . . . . . . It seriously blows my mind every time I think about it and I cry with tears of joy falling down my face ya'll. I'm so overwhelmed by His faithfulness. He blessed me 10-fold because I chose to wait on Him. All because of that act of obedience and patience, the rest is history.
I know He entrusted this place to me for a reason. I know He has big plans for His property.
The animal/rescue side of it started out by helping friends when they couldn't afford to keep their animals anymore or if they didn't have anywhere to keep them because life happens. Then God placed a bigger dream on my heart to extend his love and grace to more than just friend's animals but the animals that didn't have an owner or were mistreated by the "owners" who were supposed to protect them and love them.
Lotta Love Farm is now a New Mexico Licensed Equine and Livestock Rescue Facility and 501c3 non-profit. I know this is just the beginning. I know the Lord is only getting started. He is faithful to complete what he has started.
“Being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6)
I hope this story of Gods faithfulness in my life has inspired you and has given you hope if you are in a season of waiting. He is with you! He is for you!!
